I quit the GTC exactly for that reason.

Few retards figured, that they can manipulate other people and to ALWAYS use ONLY ganging vs stronger or mostly weaker alliances.

Which is making the gameplay for anyone total waste of time. Because its very hard to kill the ganging alliances, and if u even do u hardly can recover your economy if your small alliance.

I propose these imidiate changes to ,,nerf,, the ganging mechanics and promote more equality of 1/1 alliance fights .

N1- Every other alliance except the alliance which first dropped the nap to any other alliance ( with warning sign) to be warned that he will be ganger N2-3-4 and his fleets will have reduced speed travel to 4 ticks, instead 3/ or 2.

N2- The n1 rule must Apply ONLY if the attacking alliance is at least 25% stronger with points, than the attacked one.

For example. If we have 6 alliances left, and they are mostly equal, there wont be any penalty.
But if those 5 alliances decided to gang the 6th one there must be some penalty on them both economicaly or in speed of their ships.

Also if the alliance ,that is ganged is 50% or smaller the penalty to be increased.

This way the rivalry vs equal alliances will be improved, and not only the fucking FEEDING and Ganging as u used to do in GTC.

This cancerous gameplay is brought here as well.

Ofcourse its just a proposal and it can be changed or rebalanced to fit the game.

This is too complicated. What if u gain 1% attack and 1% deffence per every non-napped alliance. Let's say it'll work after turn 200-300 or from turn 0.

It can be done with increasing percentage.

To be read bunus against X alliances:
2 - 2% attack + 2% defence = 4%
3 - 4% attack + 4% defence = 8%
4 - 8% attack + 8% defence = 16%
5 - 16% attack + 16% defence = 32%

Just play the game.If your ganged take out one at a time.I do think that some changes should be made to make it easier to defend from attack. Minefields Shields better SS and let players scout their own systems.

If we get bonus for non-napped alliances, players will stop napping and get the bonus. For example, alliance A naps everyone, alliance B has 5 neighbors and does not nap any of them. When A and B fight, B will have the bonus that 5 unnapped enemies give. Such an implementation will effectively kill the in-game napping system and force players to use out-of-game agreements.

I mostly agree with Capt, there should be other ways to employ to favor the defender.

Also, don't forget the importance of diplomacy. Good relations with all your neighbours from the start will help when a GB occurs. Many players will drop what they're doing to prevent true injustice.

The bonuses would make more sense in the case of broken NAP's. If you suddenly get 2 NAP's broken against you it is definitely an uphill battle even more if they managed more systems.

I'm not sure if the proposed damage boost would have that much of a difference. If we were to take real world examples financial sanctions are normally the first step when someone is breaking peace treaties. If breaking a NAP suddenly made the market unavailable or heavily taxed for a while it would make people think twice about taking NAP's so lightly. Maybe some financial aid to the target.

Altruism is fine and dandy but normally you need to give people incentive to come to the rescue. Something along the lines of a bounty system rewarding intervention.
