Home dwarf: Ursa Minor
Cephalopod-like race, preceding all others, that had emerged during the Milky Way. The Roaten develop mainly their sensor technology and cyborg forms. After the militant past during the Milky Way, the Roaten reach moral balance. Their civilization begins to seek spiritual ascension by avoiding conflicts and direct clashes with the interests of the other races. They maintain presence on their territories and seek no expansion. This race’s fanatical belief in the universal order and the predetermined events determine their path and status on a galactic level.
There are several marked traces of the Roaten in the history of SOL. Their first actions during the fall of the Human Empire and the building of the Gramorians’ khanate. Later they take part in the battle in the constellation SOL before the collision between Andromeda and the Milky Way. They destroy a station, created by the Humans, but activated by the Gramorians. The aim of the station is to stop the collision between the two galaxies through a gravitational technology. They successfully adapt to the newly-formed constellation Ursa Minor and remain neutral of the galactic events.
In 76.01 g.c. the Gramorians start a war for survival in the newly-formed galaxy SOL against the Tarkhs and the Zonzians. Despite their common enemy, the Roaten refuse to take an active part in the war, but make a contract for the provision of supplies and constant research in the military sector with the special scout ships Intelligeship. The military of the Roaten leads the war to a win and domination by the Gramorians. As a reward, the Gramorians ignore their initial enmity by establishing a long and fruitful union with the Roaten.
The Roaten have low population growth and appreciate the right to life of every individual. They are openly against the development of Monlex and Wox; they participate actively in the persecution of the piracy groups in the galaxy. They are also against the slavery of the Riygls. Starting the first galactic war on SOL, the Gramorians once again turn to their agreement for food supplies and reconnaissance with the Roaten.
They are famous with their network of satellites in their own galaxy Ursa Minor. They fiercely protect their home and no enemy has been long within their borders since the war with the Tarkhs, all the way to the Scavengers Wars.
