No damage battle turn

by Aquis » Tue Dec 13, 2016 9:11 am

I just experienced a turn in which:
round 10.
Own fleets Enemy fleets
Ships 2, 0 killed 0, 0 killed
Shots 4, 0 misses 0, 0 misses
Damage 74, 0 misses 0, 0 misses

Your forces killed 0 population and 0 buildings.
Planet has 863 450 population and 15 buildings.

I'm not sure how attacking a system is calculated but a 0 actual damage done turn with 4 shots and no enemy ships present seems like an issue. The damage done on the previous turns have been a little random as well swapping between hitting just buildings and just population at values that suggest some interesting RNG. I am fine with RNG, but did my ships just hit uncolonized space? Is that in the formula? Is there some calculated accuracy on systems that determine you hitting something vital and dead space?

This is from Galaxy 26.

Your damage goes to the buildings, but is was not enough to destroy one building. However the damage is not lost, the building is damaged. Buildings have hull also.

Interesting. The next turn looked more normal. It just struck me as odd to have no progress shown since the previous 9 turns showed at least a few thousand population and maybe 1 building destroyed. I even had an odd turn with no population killed and 2 buildings destroyed.
